barbie gardner: I grew up in a small town called Tall Timbers, in Southern, Maryland. This town was and still is a mile wide and a mile long. It stretches across the Potomac River. I grew up with the river in the front yard and a huge corn field in the back yard. I saw the sunset every day over the river and the sunrise over the corn field. I grew up at the widest part of the Potomac. A fifteen minute boat ride would take us to Virginia. I loved growing up there.
